Typically, a landowner’s job is to negotiate and finalize agreements with landowners who hold mineral rights to lease those rights to the company they represent. They essentially manage the land and secure leases so they can drill for oil and gas. Like a foreman on a construction site, they build roads, build workers’ quarters (man camps), set up mining equipment, and drill their own wells, especially in remote locations.

Based in the Permian Basin oilfield, great cast so far! We at Oilfield shake our heads at the inconsistencies in camp life and explosions/explosions. The technical errors in the first three episodes are embarrassing and their technical consultant screwed up the explosion scene. Old valve stuck, 24 inch pipe wrench (put on upside down and hammered in at the top? 100% wrong.
Need torque, without trying the puller tube first?
No hammer unless it was a brass hammer (i.e. no sparks)? No experience in the oil field downstream the team would have done it. Chaotic Technical Director Billy is then seen as the “Landman” trying to contain the explosion (I never saw a Landman on site). Experienced and puts the wrench upside down again and hits his finger?
