Rosa Gonzalez, a student of paranormal psychology, lights a ritual invocation candle and asks, “Are you there?” Those three words trigger a life-or-death battle of 20 questions. As the candle melts, her chances of survival diminish. Each time she tries to escape the challenge, she finds herself catapulted into a new nightmare of her own making, as she is forced to relive childhood trauma that drives her to the brink of madness.
